Description
Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) is the largest oilseed crop, the main producers being the USA, Brazil, Argentina and China. The value of the crop is partly driven by the demand for soybean meal, which is the by-product of oil extraction, one of the major feed commodities and the main protein source in many animal diets. Whole soybean seeds, usually called soybeans or full-fat soybeans to differentiate them from soybean meal, are also used for animal feeding.
